Fort Lauderdale — 59 nights

Known as the "Venice of America" because of its extensive network of navigable waterways, Fort Lauderdale welcomes over 10 million annual visitors, most of them attracted by the city's popular beaches and marinas.
Family-friendly places like Lincoln Road and Scuba & Snorkeling will thrill your kids. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and Art Deco Historic District are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Fort Lauderdale side-trips: Miami Beach (Flamingo Park, Art By Mariano Picos Pelegri, &more), Miami (Jungle Island, Zoo Miami, &more) and Town Center Park (in Sunny Isles Beach). On the 25th (Thu), spend a day ambling around Big Cypress National Preserve. There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Fort Lauderdale Beach, examine the collection at International Swimming Hall of Fame, kick back and relax at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, and look for all kinds of wild species at Anhinga Trail.

To find photos, ratings, other places to visit, and tourist information, you can read our Fort Lauderdale trip maker app.

Expect a daytime high around 90°F in July, and nighttime lows around 78°F.
