The largest city in "upstate" South Carolina, Greenville has grown around the natural wonders of waterfalls located in the downtown area.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Greenville: Asheville (Grove Arcade, Appalachian Strings, & more), Highlands (Bridal Veil Falls, Dry Falls, & more) and Spartanburg (Motte and Sons Bootlegging Co, Spartanburg Regional Museum of History, & more). Spend the 27th (Tue) exploring nature at Kings Mountain National Military Park. Spend the 1st (Sat) exploring nature at Ninety Six National Historic Site. There's still lots to do: admire the sheer force of Falls Park on the Reedy, enjoy breathtaking views from Chimney Rock State Park, examine the collection at Museum of the Cherokee Indian, and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Whiteside Mountain.

For more things to do, where to stay, reviews, and other tourist information, you can read our Greenville travel itinerary planner.

If you are flying in from Colombia, the closest major airports are Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Greenville Spartanburg International Airport and Asheville Regional Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 36°C, and evening lows to 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
