Little Rock

The Rock

Once inhabited by Native American tribes, today Little Rock bustles with nearly 800,000 people.
Kids will appreciate attractions like William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Big Dam Bridge. Get out of town with these interesting Little Rock side-trips: Murfreesboro (Dino Dig, Crater of Diamonds State Park, &more), Hot Springs (The Winery of Hot Springs, Spas, &more) and Hot Springs Village (Woodlands Auditorium, Cortez Golf Course, &more). Spend the 29th (Sat) exploring nature at Arkansas Post National Memorial. The adventure continues: steep yourself in history at Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site, putt your heart out at Big Rock Fun Park, look for all kinds of wild species at Pinnacle Mountain State Park, and get a sense of history and politics at Arkansas State Capitol.

For where to stay, reviews, maps, and other tourist information, go to the Little Rock trip planner.

In January, plan for daily highs up to 51°F, and evening lows to 31°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
