Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
Shop till you drop at Montana Avenue and Craft & Folk Art Museum. Discover out-of-the-way places like Dolphin & Whale Watching and Carpenteria Bluffs Nature Preserve. Venture out of the city with trips to Tehachapi (Tehachapi Mountain Park & Tehachapi Museum), The Cat House (in Rosamond) and Air Force Flight Test Museum (in Edwards). Have a day of magic on the 10th (Mon) at Disneyland Park. There's still lots to do: examine the collection at The Getty Center, admire the masterpieces at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, admire all the interesting features of Running Horse Ranch, and look and learn at Griffith Observatory.
