Kahuku is a census-designated place (CDP) in the Koolauloa District on the island of Oahu, County of Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. Family-friendly places like Polynesian Cultural Center and Malaekahana State Recreation Area will thrill your kids. Change things up with these side-trips from Kahuku: Waianae (Waianae Mountain Range, Swim with Dolphins, &more), Keawaula (Yokohama Beach) (in Makaha) and Haleiwa (Laniakea Beach, Haleiwa Beach Park, &more). Traveling by car from Honolulu to Kahuku takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In May, Kahuku is little chillier than Honolulu - with highs of 79°F and lows of 65°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
