Pittsburgh

— 59 nights

City of Bridges

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Change things up with these side-trips from Pittsburgh: McKinley Birthplace Home and Research Center (in Niles), Wheeling (Madonna of the Trail, The Kruger Street Toy & Train Museum, &more) and Mars Flying Saucer (in Mars). On the 22nd (Mon), spend a day ambling around Mill Creek Park. And it doesn't end there: admire the natural beauty at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, take an in-depth tour of Senator John Heinz History Center, get curious at Carnegie Science Center, and contemplate the long history of Fallingwater.
