Although Badlands National Park's name might not be the most inviting, its landscape of pinnacles, eroded buttes, spires, and an expansive, pristine mixed-grass prairie remain enticing.
Change things up with a short trip to Hurley Butte Horseback Riding in Interior (about 40 minutes away). Spend the 3rd (Tue) exploring nature at Badlands National Park. There's much more to do: cruise along Loop Road, get great views at Pinnacles Overlook, take in the dramatic natural features at Big Badlands Overlook, and explore the wealth of natural beauty at White River Valley Overlook.
