The time zone changes from Brasilia Standard Time (BRT) to Mountain Standard Time (MST), which is usually a -4 hour difference. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Sao Paulo in August, with highs in Moab at 39°C and lows at 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Canyonlands National Park.

Traveling by car from Moab to Canyonlands National Park takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Expect a daytime high around 34°C in September, and nighttime lows around 15°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sun) so you can go by car to Torrey.
