In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Let the collections at Iolani Palace and USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park capture your imagination. Battleship Missouri Memorial and Byodo-In Temple will appeal to history buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Honolulu: Polynesian Cultural Center (in Laie), Lanikai Beach (in Kailua) and Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau State Monument (in Pupukea). There's still lots to do: meet some fierce fish with a shark diving experience, take in nature's colorful creations at Waimea Valley, get interesting insight from Tours, and hike along Koko Crater Railway Trail.

For other places to visit and tourist information, read Honolulu online visit planner.
