Blue Mountain Lake is a rural hamlet in the Town of Indian Lake of Hamilton County, New York at the intersection of New York Routes 28 and 30. Start off your visit on the 15th (Fri): identify plant and animal life at Lake Lila Primitive Area and then take an in-depth tour of Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake.

You can drive from Lake George to Blue Mountain Lake in 1.5 hours. Plan for a bit cooler temperatures traveling from Lake George in July, with highs in Blue Mountain Lake at 76°F and lows at 51°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) early enough to drive back home.
