Atlanta

— 6 nights

The Capital of the South

Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Delta Flight Museum and Carter Center. Get some historical perspective at Swan House and Centennial Olympic Park. Get out of town with these interesting Atlanta side-trips: Booth Western Art Museum (in Cartersville) and Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History (in Kennesaw). Dedicate the 3rd (Mon) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at World of Coca-Cola, steep yourself in history at Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, appreciate the extensive heritage of Silver Comet Trail, and admire the natural beauty at Atlanta Botanical Garden.

In July in Atlanta, expect temperatures between 89°F during the day and 72°F at night.
