Big Sky

Big Sky is a census-designated place (CDP) in Gallatin and Madison counties in southwestern Montana. Get in touch with nature at Beehive Basin Trail and Lower Geyser Basin. Change things up with these side-trips from Big Sky: Yellowstone National Park (Norris Geyser Basin, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, & more) and Horseback Riding Tours (in Gardiner). Spend the 6th (Tue) on the water with a fishing tour. There's lots more to do: hike along Ousel Falls Trail, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Lone Peak, fly down the slopes at Big Sky Resort, and get outside with Grizzly Outfitters Ski & Backcountry Sports.

For where to stay, other places to visit, reviews, and more tourist information, you can read our Big Sky trip planner.

July in Big Sky sees daily highs of 77°F and lows of 39°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
