Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Sun): pause for some serene contemplation at Trinity United Methodist Church, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, examine the collection at Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art, then learn about winemaking at Balistreri Vineyards, and finally get to know the fascinating history of 16th Street Mall.

Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Mon): grab your bike and head to Valmont Bike Park, then identify plant and animal life at Humane Society of Boulder Valley, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Royal Arch. Keep things going the next day: take in the exciting artwork at Boulder Arts and Crafts Gallery, hike along Anne U. White trail, and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Rabbit Mountain.

More than just a convenient resting place for travelers on their way to the national park encompassing the Front Range of the Rockies, Estes Park is a popular place to visit in its own right.
On the 25th (Wed), trek along Lily Mountain Trail and then take a memorable tour with Tours. On your second day here, examine the collection at Red Rose Rock Shop & Dick's Rock Museum, then learn about winemaking at Snowy Peaks Winery, then take in the exciting artwork at Aspen and Evergreen Gallery, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Sprague Lake.
