Mile-High City

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Step off the beaten path and head to Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center and Golden History Museum & Park. Head to Benson Park Sculpture Garden and Denver Botanic Gardensfor some retail therapy. Change things up with a short trip to Images of Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park (about 1h 25 min away). There's lots more to do: explore the world behind art at Denver Art Museum, immerse yourself in nature at Cherry Creek State Park, and get to know the fascinating history of 16th Street Mall.

Founded in 1859 as part of the Gold Rush in the Rockies, Breckenridge boasts a main street lined with colorful wooden storefronts housing cafes and shops, giving the effect of a thriving western town from the 19th century.
On the 22nd (Wed), hit the slopes at Frisco Adventure Park, relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, and then stroll through Vail / Beaver Creek Resort. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: fly down the slopes at Loveland Ski Area and then get engrossed in the history at Hotel de Paris Museum.

An internationally known ski resort, Steamboat Springs sits in the shadow of Mount Werner in north central Colorado.
On the 24th (Fri), hit the slopes at Steamboat Gondola, then take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas. Here are some ideas for day two: fly down the slopes at Howelsen Hill Ski Area, then hit the slopes at Mount Werner, and then steep yourself in history at Tread of Pioneers Museum.
