Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
On the 4th (Tue), get to know the resident critters at The Wild Animal Sanctuary, then work some fitness into your day at Boulder Creek Path, and then deepen your understanding at University of Colorado at Boulder. On the 5th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: catch some excitement at Colorado Railroad Museum, contemplate the waterfront views at Evergreen Lake, and then stroll through Roxborough State Park.
