Denver — 3 nights

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Denver is known for museums, nightlife, and zoos & aquariums. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: admire the masterpieces at Denver Art Museum, take in the exciting artwork at Denver Botanic Gardens, brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Stranahan's Whiskey Distillery & Cocktail Bar, and steep yourself in history at Denver Union Station.

Vail — 3 nights

Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
Venture out of the city with trips to Aspen (Aspen Highlands & Buttermilk Mountain) and Main Street (in Breckenridge). There's much more to do: hit the slopes at Vail Mountain Resort, let little ones run wild at Ford Park, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Beaver Creek Ski Area.
