7 days in Devils Tower, Thermopolis & Jackson Hole Itinerary

A trip to Devils Tower proves equally suitable for adrenaline addicts and nature enthusiasts on the lookout for unique geological formations.

Loveland to Devils Tower is an approximately 6.5-hour car ride. You can also fly; or do a combination of bus and taxi. In July in Devils Tower, expect temperatures between 84°F during the day and 57°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Mon) early enough to drive to Thermopolis.

Thermopolis is the largest town in, and the county seat of Hot Springs County, Wyoming, United States. On the 6th (Mon), stop by Ava's Silver and Rock Shop. On the 7th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get to know the fascinating history of Legend Rock Petroglyph Site and then try out the rides at The Star Plunge.

Traveling by car from Devils Tower to Thermopolis takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus. When traveling from Devils Tower in July, plan for a bit cooler days in Thermopolis, with highs around 76°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 56°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Wed) early enough to drive to Jackson Hole.

The Jackson Hole valley is approximately 97 km (60 mi) long and 24 km (15 mi) wide, encompassing the town of Jackson, Teton Village, and the northern section of Grand Teton National Park.

You can drive from Thermopolis to Jackson Hole in 5.5 hours. Traveling from Thermopolis in July, Jackson Hole is little chillier at night with lows of 44°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 11th (Sat) to allow time for travel back home.
