Once saddled with the reputation of being one of the country's dirtiest cities, Chattanooga now boasts a pedestrian-friendly downtown with a network of leafy waterfront trails and free electric shuttles.
On the 14th (Mon), snap pictures at Walnut Street Bridge, then witness the site of a historic battle at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, then witness the site of a historic battle at Point Park - Lookout Mountain Battlefields, and finally explore the fascinating underground world of Raccoon Mountain Caverns.

Fargo to Chattanooga is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and car; or drive. The time zone difference when traveling from Fargo to Chattanooga is 1 hour. Kick off your visit on the 15th (Tue): get to know the fascinating history of City Market, stroll the grounds of Colonial Park Cemetery, then steep yourself in history at Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas. On your second day here, admire the majestic nature at Wormsloe Historic Site, then steep yourself in history at Juliette Gordon Low's Birthplace, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mickve Israel Temple, and finally wander the streets of Savannah Historic District.

Getting from Chattanooga to Savannah by flight takes about 5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of bus and flight. Traveling from Chattanooga in October, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Savannah, with lows around 60°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Jekyll Island.

Start off your visit on the 18th (Fri): admire the majestic nature at Gulf State Park and then fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour. On your second day here, zoom along the surf with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure and then take in the waterfront at Gulf State Park Fishing Pier.
