Denver

Mile-High City

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Get outdoors at Trail Ridge Road and River Rafting & Tubing. Do some cultural sightseeing at Denver Botanic Gardens and 16th Street Mall. Get out of town with these interesting Denver side-trips: Pearl Street Mall (in Boulder) and Estes Park (Images of Rocky Mountain National Park & Photography Tours). There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at Denver Art Museum and sample the fine beverages at Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey Tour.
