Fajardo is a small city and municipality in Puerto Rico (U.S.) located in the east region of the island, bordering the Atlantic Ocean, north of Ceiba and east of Luquillo. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Estudio de Arte Samuel Lind and El Portal Tropical Forest Center. We've included these beaches for you: Luquillo Beach and Balneario Luquillo. Get out of town with these interesting Fajardo side-trips: Casa Roig Museum (in Humacao), Tuna Point Lighthouse (in Maunabo) and El Yunque National Forest (El Yunque Rain Forest, Cascada La Mina (La Mina Falls), & more). There's much more to do: identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, see what you can catch with a fishing tour, paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, and step off the mainland to explore Icacos Island.

To see maps, ratings, where to stay, and tourist information, you can read our Fajardo trip planner .

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airport is Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 88°F in July, and nighttime lows around 79°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
