Lynchburg to Marathon is an approximately 11.5-hour combination of car and flight. You can also drive. When traveling from Lynchburg in May, plan for somewhat warmer days and warmer nights in Marathon: temperatures range from 88°F by day to 77°F at night. On the 17th (Mon), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive to Key West.

Key West

Conch Republic

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Your list of things to see and do now includes Key West Ghost Hunt, Ghost & Vampire Tours, The Shell Warehouse, and other attractions. Take a break from Key West with a short trip to The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, about 1h 5 min away. There's lots more to do: admire the natural beauty at Audubon House & Tropical Gardens, examine the collection at Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
