The Oleander City

An old colonial city and a busy cruise ship port less than an hour's drive from Houston, Galveston sits on Galveston Island and serves as a popular vacation destination for both domestic and international travelers.
Step out of Galveston to go to Kemah and see Kemah Boardwalk, which is approximately 38 minutes away. There's much more to do: admire the natural beauty at Moody Gardens, wander the streets of The Strand, get to know the fascinating history of The Seawall, and take an in-depth tour of Moody Mansion.
