Start off your visit on the 18th (Sat): take some stellar pictures from Powell Point, then shop like a local with Lookout Studio, then admire all the interesting features of East Rim Drive, and finally get great views at Navajo Point. Phoenix is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Arizona. Change things up with these side-trips from Phoenix: Boyce Thompson Arboretum (in Superior), Superstition Mountain Museum (in Apache Junction) and Usery Mountain Regional Park (in Mesa). There's still lots to do: admire the natural beauty at Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix, trot along with a tour on horseback, and take a memorable drive along Apache Trail Scenic Drive.

You can drive from Sedona to Phoenix in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or take a bus. Traveling from Sedona in December, expect Phoenix to be a bit warmer, temps between 68°F and 46°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
