Indiana's capital and most populous city, Indianapolis is best known for its racecar events and impressive museums, and as the hometown of Kurt Vonnegut.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Children's Museum of Indianapolis and Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. Get out of town with these interesting Indianapolis side-trips: Louisville (Kentucky Derby Museum, Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, &more), Exotic Feline Rescue Center (in Centerpoint) and Vintage Fire Museum (in Jeffersonville). The adventure continues: make a trip to Central Canal, get in on the family fun at Deming Park, examine the collection at The Eiteljorg Museum, and learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Indianapolis Zoo.

Lubbock is a city in and the county seat of Lubbock County, Texas, United States. Attractions like Silent Wings Museum and American Wind Power Center make great kid-friendly stops. There's still lots to do: test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, see the interesting displays at FiberMax Center for Discovery- Agriculture Heritage, Education, and Innovation, look for all kinds of wild species at Prairie Dog Town, and browse for treasures at Antique Mall of Lubbock.

Getting from Indianapolis to Lubbock by flight takes about 6 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Central Standard Time (CST), which is usually a -1 hour difference.
