Known internationally as the "Horse Capital of the World," Lexington boasts a thriving economy resting largely on its thoroughbred racehorse industry.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Sun): stroll the grounds of Lexington Cemetery, examine the collection at Ark Encounter, and then indulge your thirst for a good beer at Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co.. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: immerse yourself in nature at Kentucky Horse Park and then contemplate the long history of Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill.

Originally intended as a resort city to serve the Mammoth Cave attraction, Cave City has taken on a life of its own.
On the 16th (Tue), examine the collection at National Corvette Museum, take in the dramatic natural features at Lost River Cave, and then stroll through Fat Man's Misery. Keep things going the next day: examine the collection at Dinosaur World, explore the fascinating underground world of Mammoth Cave, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas.

Kick off your visit on the 18th (Thu): examine the collection at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, then see the interesting displays at Kentucky Derby Museum, and then Head underground at Louisville Mega Cavern.
