Vacherie is a small unincorporated community in St. Start off your visit on the 30th (Sun): steep yourself in history at Laura Plantation: Louisiana's Creole Heritage Site and then contemplate the long history of Oak Alley Plantation. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at San Francisco Plantation, see the interesting displays at Whitney Plantation, then explore and take pictures at Houmas House Plantation and Gardens, and finally steep yourself in history at Nottoway Plantation.

Columbus to Vacherie is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and taxi; or drive.
