Kihei

Stretching over 9.7 km (6 mi) of pristine south Maui coastline, Kihei is the island's driest and sunniest region, making it a perfect location for water activities and beach leisure.
Visit Wailea Beach and Kapalua Beach for some beach relaxation. Take a break from the city and head to Makena Beach and Kamaole Beach Park II. Venture out of the city with trips to D.T. Fleming Park (in Kapalua), Kahekili Beach Park (in Lahaina) and Zipline (in Kula). The adventure continues: tour the pleasant surroundings at Keawakapu Beach, sample the fine beverages at Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery, look for gifts at Tutu's Pantry, and sample the tasty concoctions at Maui Brewing Company.

To find traveler tips, ratings, where to stay, and more tourist information, use the Kihei trip planning app.

Kahului to Kihei is an approximately half hour car ride. You can also take a bus. In November, plan for daily highs up to 84°F, and evening lows to 68°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Hana.

The Valley Isle
The second largest of the eight major Hawaiian Islands, Maui features a rugged landscape ranging from high mountain peaks to deep valleys. Half of Maui lies within 8 km (5 mi) of the coastline, and most tourists come for the sandy beaches, many of them backed by fashionable resorts offering every modern convenience. Diversity of tourist attractions is Maui's major allure, with each of the island's shores offering a different set of vacation ideas. You can swim with dolphins, snorkel with sea turtles, or hike over the otherworldly landscapes of the world's biggest dormant volcano. A foodie paradise, the island also features dozens of small farms and gourmet restaurants.
