Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.You'll find plenty of places to visit near Miami Beach: Fort Lauderdale Beach (in Fort Lauderdale) and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden (in Coral Gables).
