A busy city on the Gulf Coast, Biloxi is one of the nation's oldest communities, first settled by Europeans in 1699.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Gulf Islands National Seashore and Walter Anderson Museum of Art. Popular historic sites such as St. Michael's Catholic Church and Old Biloxi Cemetery are in your itinerary. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Biloxi: Abita Springs (Abita Mystery House & Tammany Trace) and Smith H J & Sons General Store and Museum (in Covington). There's lots more to do: have fun and explore at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, see the interesting displays at Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports.
