Gardiner serves as the gateway to Yellowstone National Park's northern entrance, marked by an iconic stone arch.
Family-friendly places like Horseback Riding Tours and River Rafting & Tubing will thrill your kids. Get out of town with these interesting Gardiner side-trips: West Yellowstone (Museum of the Yellowstone, Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, &more) and Big Sky (Big Sky Resort, Ousel Falls Trail, &more). There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Yellowstone River.

West Glacier

West Glacier is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in eastern Flathead County, Montana, United States. Venture out of the city with trips to Glacier National Park (Logan Pass, Going-to-the-Sun Road, &more). There's still lots to do: take a memorable tour with Tours, stroll through Trail of the Cedars, and hike along Siyeh Pass.

Drive from Gardiner to West Glacier in 7 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or do a combination of car, bus, and taxi. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Gardiner in June: high temperatures in West Glacier hover around 75°F and lows are around 45°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 6th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
