The largest city in "upstate" South Carolina, Greenville has grown around the natural wonders of waterfalls located in the downtown area.
On the 17th (Sun), stroll through Lake Conestee Nature Park and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Christ Episcopal Church.

New York City to Greenville is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In October, plan for daily highs up to 75°F, and evening lows to 54°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Sun) so you can drive to Charleston.

Many visitors describe their Charleston holiday as a warm embrace by an old, dear friend--who lived about 200 years ago.
Visit Edisto Beach State Park and Kiawah Beachwalker Park for some beach relaxation. Discover out-of-the-way places like McLeod Plantation Historic Site and The Charleston Museum. There's much more to do: explore the different monuments and memorials at Magnolia Cemetery, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Unitarian Church in Charleston, steep yourself in history at St. Michael's Church, and get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour.

A Hilton Head vacation may be heaven for a golfer, but the area also offers all kinds of other options for sports fans.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Fri): enjoy the sand and surf at Coligny Beach and then kick back and relax at Folly Field Beach Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: get up close to creatures of the deep with May River Excursions and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at The Church of the Cross.
