New Braunfels

Neu-Braunfels

Built upon the back of an older cotton-producing town called Gruene, New Braunfels pays tribute to its heritage by maintaining part of the historical town--its post office, general store, and dance hall among other buildings--inside the city limits.
Venture out of the city with trips to Dripping Springs (Hamilton Pool Preserve & Hawk's Shadow Winery), Texcetera (in Johnson City) and Garrison Brothers Distillery (in Hye). And it doesn't end there: take in the dramatic natural features at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, explore the activities along Comal River, make a splash at Schlitterbahn Waterpark New Braunfels, and mingle with the ghosts of the past at Gruene Historic District.
