Get outdoors at Cape May City Beaches and North Wildwood Beach. We've included these beaches for you: Wildwood Beach and Stone Harbor Point. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Cape May: Atlantic City Boardwalk (in Atlantic City) and Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge (in Oceanville). Located near the memorial park marking the site of one of the largest Civil War battles, the town of Gettysburg sits in a landscape of rolling green hills with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Sun): explore the different monuments and memorials at Gettysburg National Cemetery, then contemplate the long history of Little Round Top, then explore the striking landscape at Devils Den, and finally trot along with Confederate Trails of Gettysburg. Keep things going the next day: witness the site of a historic battle at Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, steep yourself in history at Jennie Wade House, explore the galleries of Shriver House Museum, then have some family-friendly fun at Victorian Photography Studio, and finally stroll around Gettysburg National Military Park.

Traveling by car from Cape May to Gettysburg takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and train; or take a bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 84°F, and evening lows to 66°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Mon) early enough to drive to Philadelphia.
