Best known as the home of Princeton University, the town of Princeton centers around the Ivy League school and its stone, vine-covered buildings.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Thu): take in the spiritual surroundings of Sri Guruvayoorappan Temple, then get in on the family fun at Six Flags Great Adventure, and then ponder the design of Baps Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. Cape May represents the other Jersey Shore--the one you don't see on TV--the one with a rich history and a refined, relaxed atmosphere.
Take a break from the city and head to Cape May City Beaches and Wildwood Beach. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Cape May Lighthouse and Emlen Physick Estate. Step out of Cape May to go to Egg Harbor Township and see Storybook Land, which is approximately 58 minutes away. There's lots more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Sunset Beach, get to know the resident critters at Cape May County Park & Zoo, and savor the flavors at Food & Drink.
