Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
On the 10th (Sat), examine the collection at New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society, then wander the streets of Albuquerque Old Town, and then get curious at Explora Science Center and Children's Museum of Albuquerque. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: see the interesting displays at Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and then explore the stunning scenery at Bandelier National Monument.
