The Big Easy

Known for its Creole cuisine, rich musical tradition, and nearby swamps and plantations, New Orleans is one of the nation's oldest cities.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Mon): stroll the grounds of St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 and then get to know the fascinating history of French Quarter. On the next day, appreciate the extensive heritage of Garden District, appreciate the extensive heritage of Jackson Square, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Louis Cathedral, and finally get thoroughly spooked out with a ghost and vampire tour.

San Antonio to New Orleans is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. When traveling from San Antonio in July, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in New Orleans: temperatures range from 80°F by day to 80°F at night. Western Gate to the Sunshine State

Surrounded on three sides by water, Pensacola offers access to white-sand beaches and emerald-green ocean unspoiled by large resorts.
Step out of Pensacola to go to Miramar Beach and see Waterfront Gifts and Art, which is approximately 1h 25 min away. There's lots more to do: learn about all things military at National Naval Aviation Museum, deepen your knowledge of military history at Pensacola Naval Air Station, kick back and relax at Pensacola Beach, and appreciate the history behind Veterans Memorial Park.
