Writer Pearl Buck once called New York City “a place apart,” and this giant urban center remains unlike any other in the world.

When in New York City, make a side trip to see Bronx Zoo in Bronx, approximately Bronx away. There's still lots to do: take in the pleasant sights at Central Park, explore the world behind art at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), pause for some photo ops at Statue of Liberty National Monument, and take in nature's colorful creations at Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
