The city of Niagara Falls houses the U.S.
Niagara Power Project Visitors Center and Kazoo Factory, Museum, & Gift Shop of Eden will appeal to museum buffs. Frank Lloyd Wright's Graycliff and Basilica Of The National Shrine Of Our Lady Of Fatima are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Niagara Falls side-trips: Our Lady of Victory National Shrine & Basilica (in Lackawanna) and Eternal Flame Falls (in Orchard Park). The adventure continues: do a tasting at A Gust of Sun Winery & Vineyard, admire the majestic nature at Devil's Hole State Park, examine the collection at Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, and head off the coast to Three Sisters Island.

When you arrive in tiny San Simeon, which lies halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, you can see why William Randolph Hearst chose this coastal locale for his famous hilltop castle.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Hearst Castle. Take a break from the city and head to Limekiln State Park and Partington Cove. Discover out-of-the-way places like Piedras Blancas Light Station and Mission Nuestra Senora de la Soledad. Step out of San Simeon with an excursion to Pacific Valley Bluff Trail in Big Sur--about 50 minutes away. There's much more to do: stroll through William Randolph Hearst Memorial Beach, stop by Sebastian General Store, see the interesting displays at Coastal Discovery Center at San Simeon Bay (Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary), and kick back and relax at Sand Dollar Beach.
