Lake Placid is a village in the Adirondack Mountains in Essex County, New York, United States. On the 29th (Mon), explore the activities along Lake Placid, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Jo, then gain insight at Uihlein Sugar Maple Research & Extension Field Station, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Whiteface Mountain. On the next day, get great views at Olympic Ski Jump Complex, contemplate the waterfront views at Mirror Lake, and then tour or see a game at Lake Placid Olympic Museum.

You can drive from Niagara Falls to Lake Placid in 7 hours. Other options are to do a combination of flight and car; or do a combination of train and taxi. In March, Lake Placid is a bit cooler than Niagara Falls - with highs of 33°F and lows of 9°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Acadia National Park.

The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.
Kick off your visit on the 31st (Wed): take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Cadillac Mountain, then enjoy the sand and surf at Sand Beach, and then hike along Champlain Mountain & Beehive Loop Trail. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 1st (Thu): grab your bike and head to Carriage Roads and then cruise along Park Loop Road.
