A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
Bring the kids along to International Rose Test Garden and Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. When in Portland, make a side trip to see Multnomah Falls in Bridal Veil, approximately Bridal Veil away. There's much more to do: stop by Powell's City of Books, stroll around Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Oregon Zoo, and admire the natural beauty at Portland Japanese Garden.
