Theme Park Capital of the World

For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Visiting Beach at Daytona Beach and Fishing Charters & Tours will get you outdoors. Get a sense of the local culture at Lightner Museum and SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology. Change things up with these side-trips from Orlando: Ormond Beach (in Ormond Beach), St. Augustine (Flagler College & Memorial Presbyterian Church) and Cape Canavarel National Cemetery (in Scottsmoor). Conch Republic

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Thu): find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, then examine the collection at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, then learn about all things military at U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Ingham Maritime Museum, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Saint Mary Star of the Sea.

Traveling by flight from Orlando to Key West takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Orlando in March, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Key West, with lows around 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Thu) early enough to travel to Fort Lauderdale.

Known as the "Venice of America" because of its extensive network of navigable waterways, Fort Lauderdale welcomes over 10 million annual visitors, most of them attracted by the city's popular beaches and marinas.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Fri): stroll through Hollywood Beach, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, then enjoy the sand and surf at Las Olas Beach, and finally kick back and relax at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. Keep things going the next day: identify plant and animal life at Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands, look for all kinds of wild species at Wakodahatchee Wetlands, and then take in nature's colorful creations at Long Key Natural Area & Nature Center.

You can fly from Key West to Fort Lauderdale in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In March in Fort Lauderdale, expect temperatures between 31°C during the day and 21°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
