Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Start off your visit on the 21st (Wed): take a stroll through Pike Place Market, explore the world behind art at Chihuly Garden and Glass, and then enjoy breathtaking views from Space Needle. On the 22nd (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: examine the collection at The Museum of Flight, see the interesting displays at Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience, and then admire the masterpieces at Seattle Art Museum.

Spirit of the Columbia

Astoria, named for famed fur trader John Jacob Astor, resides near the mouth of the Columbia River.
Explore hidden gems such as Cannon Beach and Hug Point State Park. Get a sense of the local culture at Fort Clatsop National Memorial and Flavel House Museum. Explore Astoria's surroundings by going to Cannon Beach (Ecola State Park & Haystack Rock). There's more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Astoria Column and immerse yourself in nature at Fort Stevens State Park.

A town that survives on the sea, Newport's population of just over 10,000 supports a healthy commercial fishing industry.
On the 26th (Mon), enjoy the sea views from Yaquina Head Lighthouse, then look for all kinds of wild species at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, and then admire the majestic nature at Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area.
