Lancaster — 6 nights

The heart of Pennsylvania's famous "Dutch Country," Lancaster is one of the nation's oldest inland cities, founded in 1730.
Attractions like Dutch Wonderland and Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania make great kid-friendly stops. When in Lancaster, make a side trip to see Wolf Sanctuary of PA in Lititz, approximately Lititz away. There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at The Amish Farm and House, browse the eclectic array of goods at Bird in Hand Farmers Market, relax in the rural setting at Lapp Valley Farm, and get engrossed in the history at Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society.

To find reviews, photos, traveler tips, and tourist information, go to the Lancaster trip planning website.

Philadelphia to Lancaster is an approximately 2-hour car ride. You can also take a train. Traveling from Philadelphia in November, Lancaster is little chillier at night with lows of 34°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Sun) early enough to go by car back home.
