A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Sun): find something for the whole family at The Island in Pigeon Forge and then admire the natural beauty at Parrot Mountain & Gardens. On the 26th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get in on the family fun at Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster and then find something for the whole family at Dollywood.

Nestled in the lush, wooded forests of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg is Tennessee’s premier mountain resort destination.
Kick off your visit on the 28th (Wed): take in the dramatic natural features at Chimney Tops Trail, take in the exciting artwork at Fowler's Clay Works, and then meet the residents at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies. On the 29th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: pause for some photo ops at Rockefeller Memorial, stroll through Alum Cave Trail, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount LeConte, and finally take a memorable drive along Little River Road.

Gatlinburg is very close to Pigeon Forge. In July, plan for daily highs up to 87°F, and evening lows to 69°F. You'll have a few hours on the 30th (Fri) to wrap things up before traveling to Nashville.

Start off your visit on the 30th (Fri): admire the landmark architecture of Downtown Presbyterian Church and then see a show at Grand Ole Opry.
