Center of Fun in the Smokies

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Venture out of the city with trips to Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Cades Cove & Clingmans Dome) and River Rafting & Tubing (in Hartford). There's still lots to do: cool off at Dollywood, take in nature's colorful creations at Parrot Mountain & Gardens, get in on the family fun at The Island in Pigeon Forge, and see the interesting displays at Titanic Museum Attraction.

To see photos, other places to visit, and tourist information, you can read our Pigeon Forge holiday website.

In August in Pigeon Forge, expect temperatures between 87°F during the day and 68°F at night.
