Pittsburgh — 6 nights

City of Bridges
Change things up with these side-trips from Pittsburgh: Moundsville (Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex & West Virginia Penitentiary), Wheeling (Heritage Port Park & Sculpture Garden & Madonna of the Trail) and West Overton Village & Museums (in Scottdale). On the 14th (Tue), spend a day ambling around Mill Creek Park. There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, go all around town with City Tours, get a new perspective on nature at Carnegie Museum of Natural History, and take a stroll through Strip District.
