A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
On the 10th (Sun), take in the dramatic scenery at Multnomah Falls, then learn the secrets of beer at a beer tour and tasting, then deepen your understanding at Portland State University, and finally snap pictures at Tilikum Crossing. Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
On the 12th (Tue), take in nature's colorful creations at Bellevue Botanical Garden, then get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Seattle Aquarium, and then look for gifts at Elliott Bay Book Company.
