A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
On the 16th (Sat), visit a coastal fixture at El Faro Lighthouse, then get interesting insight from Tours, then kick back and relax at Crashboat Beach, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Rompe Olas. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stop by Ocean State of Mind, browse the exhibits of Playa Oeste Gallery, then kick back and relax at Domes Beach, and finally stroll through Sandy Beach.

Little Island

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Relax by the water at Flamenco Beach and Zoni Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Tamarindo Beach and Carlos Rosario Beach. Next up on the itinerary: step off the mainland to explore Culebrita Island, see the interesting displays at Museo Historico de Culebra, and enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Punta Soldado Beach.

Traveling by combination of car and ferry from Rincon to Culebra takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or do a combination of car, shuttle, taxi, and ferry. Traveling from Rincon in March, Culebra is little chillier at night with lows of 73°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
