Luquillo — 1 night

Luquillo is a municipality of Puerto Rico (U.S.) located in the northeast coast, northwest of Fajardo; and east of Rio Grande. Kick off your visit on the 24th (Sun): get all the information you need at El Yunque National Forest and then stroll through Playa Luquillo. On the next day, delve into the lush surroundings at El Yunque National Forest.

Culebra — 2 nights

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Tue): kick back and relax at Flamenco Beach. On your second day here, head off the coast to Culebrita and then kick back and relax at Playa Zoni.

Traveling by flight from Luquillo to Culebra takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry. Expect a daytime high around 90°F in July, and nighttime lows around 80°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Wed) early enough to fly to Isla de Vieques.

Isla de Vieques — 3 nights

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Attractions like Balneario Sun Bay and Mosquito Pier make great kid-friendly stops. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Playa La Chiva, tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Caracas, and take in the waterfront at Malecon.
