Richland is a city in Benton County in the southeastern part of the State of Washington, at the confluence of the Yakima and the Columbia Rivers. You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like LIGO Hanford Observatory and Children's Museum of Eastern Oregon. Step off the beaten path and head to Sacagawea Heritage Trail and Badger Mountain Centennial Preserve. Venture out of the city with trips to Chukar Cherries (in Prosser), Surf 'n Slide Water Park (in Moses Lake) and Boardman Marina Park (in Boardman). Next up on the itinerary: walk around Badger Mountain Park, indulge your senses at some of the top wineries in the area, explore the activities along The Columbia River, and learn about winemaking at Goose Ridge Winery.

In September, daily temperatures in Richland can reach 80°F, while at night they dip to 48°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
